Europe’s Leading IT Products Distributor to Implement a Comprehensive Distributed Solution Provided by WMD

BASINGSTOKE, England–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Kofax plc (LSE:KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture Exchange solutions, today announced that WMD, a Kofax Certified Solution Provider headquartered in Ahrensburg, Germany, has won a major contract with Tech Data Europe, Europe’s largest IT products distributor. WMD will provide a comprehensive invoice processing solution utilizing Kofax and WMD software to automate the processing of more than two million invoices annually within its SAP environment that originate at Tech Data offices in 16 European countries.

The solution will enable Tech Data Europe branches to digitally capture documents, transform their content into accurate data, and then deliver the resulting information in real-time into organizational applications and repositories. The company will integrate this distributed capture solution within an SAP environment with xFlow, a workflow platform developed by WMD that is optimized for accounts payable processes within SAP environments.

This complete capture and accounts payable solution will allow Tech Data Europe to automate the processing of more than two million invoices or five million pages of such documents coming into its branches each year. Currently, these documents are received in paper and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) formats and then entered manually into the organization’s SAP system. Once implemented, the new solution will improve invoice processing speed, accuracy and efficiency while reducing labor-intensive, paper-based processes.
