TransCare continues international growth and reports profit increase for fiscal 2007/2008
Wiesbaden, September 29, 2008 – TransCare reported a significant growth in the result of operations for the fiscal year 2007/2008. Total revenues for the last fiscal year reached EUR 6 million. With above average growth rates, a turn-over of EUR 3 million was achieved in the Russian and Indian markets. With international projects in the three core markets, Europe, Russia, and India, TransCare further consoli-dated its position as a leading provider of logistics consulting services.
By way of example, TransCare developed logistic- and network strategies for leading automotive companies planning a market entry in Russia. Moreover, Trans-Care registered high growth in international projects in the market segment process-oriented infrastructure planning, with TransCare developing business plans for international ports, e.g. in Russia and India (Cochin, Paradip, and Tuticorin) and planning international multi-modal logistics parks and container terminals.
TransCare also strengthened its position in the domestic German market, specifically in the segments logistics and infrastructure planning. In this context, TransCare developed a usage-based pricing system for Hamburg Port Authority, thus enabling cost reductions and a more efficient use of the infrastructure.
Furthermore, during the past fiscal year, TransCare increased its contract volume in the management consulting segment. The experts of TransCare implemented a new business strategy for the Fuel Logistics Group Ltd., a market leader in contract logistics and transportation in South Africa. ‚TransCare analyzed the complete business set-up of the Fuel Transportation Group and identified substantial synergy and cost saving potentials,‘ said Jason Lombard, CEO of Fuel. ‚TransCare’s comprehensive expertise helped us to implement a new business strategy, thus ensuring our leading market position also in the future.‘
‚I’m pleased to report that we’ve made progress in strengthening our international business, partly due to our increased focus on strategic consulting in the logistics space,‘ said Ralf Jahncke, CEO of the TransCare Group. ‚We have laid the ground-work by expanding our service portfolio, enabling solid growth potential for the future.‘
